Another Pause
Geez, it's been awhile, hasn't it?
I haven't forgotten about this blog again, I just haven't managed to get another post in. Sadly, my "getting into the Bible" has been lax lately. I've had plenty of conversations with friends about the Bible, about church, about philosophy, and about Christianity. I just haven't had much one-on-one Bible time with me and God.
I don't just need to be spending time in the Bible for myself. I want to be doing it as an example to my kids. It shouldn't be as rare as what it's been.

I hear ya FTN. My small group stopped meeting for the summer and I haven't cracked open my Bible since then (except for when I'm at worship). I just saw this sidebar from your regular blog. I'll keep checking.....

Actually, what I need is a way to help my kids get into the Bible for themselves. They have a basic love of God, and want to follow Him and live for Him, but they don't know the Bible, and I haven't been able to induce in them the kind of hunger for the Word that, for me, came hand-in-hand with knowing God. . .
I'll also admit to a small degree of frustration as relates to this blog. I love the idea of it, and once upon a time, we had some really interesting discussions here. But that all seems to have evaporated. The give-and-take of blog-space worked really well when you had a variety of folks stopping by to talk. And I still see quite a few folks linking here. But if no-one leaves comments, it just kinda sits here. . .
Summer is a tricky time to do anything regularly. I know that I haven't gotten involved in the discussions, but I really do appreciate the work you put into your posts, and the comments people leave.
